All invasive procedures will be supervised or performed by a credentialed clinician. Once a fellow is signed off, he/she can supervise housestaff to perform the procedure. Once a resident is signed off, he/she can supervise an intern to perform the procedure.

Time outs (name, DOB, etc) must be performed prior to all procedures.

Full sterile technique is used for ALL procedures (including hat, mask, gloves, and gown).

Procedure notes are completed by the person performing the procedure.

Please log all procedures in MedHub for verification by an attending (even if the attending was not the direct supervisor).
