I think I was exposed, help!
If you think you were exposed to a COVID positive patient without proper PPE, please do the following.
-
Let the Chiefs know, we can help support you and see if coverage is needed
-
Either go down to Occupational Health at the VA (located on the first floor, follow the signs to Building 6) OR call occupational health hotline at your home institution. You will talk through the exposure to determine if it was low or high risk.
-
Let the Chiefs know if you develop ANY symptoms at ANY given point. We will help you get to occupational health to get tested and set up coverage. In the meantime, please quarantine yourself at home.
I’m having COVID symptoms, what do I do?
If you develop fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, or any of the symptoms of COVID-19, please call occupational health at the VA or at your home institution to determine if you should be tested. Please also inform the Chiefs so we can set up coverage for you if it is determined that you need to be tested.

Someone I live with is COVID positive!
If someone you live with has become COVID positive, do not report to work but call occupational health and the Chiefs for guidance!
